Let’s bridge the gap between mental health training and the implementation of our skills by actively raising awareness and supporting others in the workplace with our monthly complimentary drop in session with MHFA England instructor Wendy Garrett.

Since June 2024 we have been meeting online each month on the second* Monday of each month from 13:00-13:50 GMT to chat about all things mental health and wellbeing.  You’ll:

  • Be supported and connect with like-minded individuals, Mental Health First Aiders and Wellbeing Ambassadors from various sectors
  • Sometimes hear from expert guest speakers sharing their knowledge and tips
  • Be able to ask your questions about being a MHFAider or Workplace Wellbeing Champion

Why should I join the Garrett Learning sessions?

We are all working towards providing relevant workplace support and raising awareness of the importance of proactively looking after our mental health and wellbeing. Why work individually on this, when we can work together.

How much does it cost per person?

£0 – it’s a complimentary service from Garrett Learning to connect like-minded people

When and where do you meet?

The second Monday of the month at 13:00-13:50 GMT. We meet virtually on Zoom.

What’s included? What is the format/structure of the workshop?

Each session will look and feel a bit different. During the 50-minute session we’ll theme each one that may include:

An update on mental health and wellbeing practices

Provide you with new tools to implement

Be joined by a guest speaker/specialist

We’ll sometimes utalise the break-out room function to chat, generate ideas and discuss the monthly topic

There will always be a ‘Ask us anything’ section at the end of the session so you have the chance to ask your specific questions

We’ll cover topics such as alternative well-being approaches, stress and resilience, disabilities, equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging, national awareness days, benefits of moving your body, menopause, neurodiversity in the workplace, meaningful back-to-work interviews, authorise absence, loneliness, financial pressures and support to name a few!

We’ll also ask for your feedback on what you want your workshops on.

What isn’t covered in the sessions/webinars?

We won’t be discussing sensitive issues or individual organisational problems. The session is about creating ideas and embracing our creativity.

How big is the group size?

This will vary as not every member can attend every meeting. We may on occasion, split the group into smaller breakout rooms.

How can we connect with others?
