Dealing with crisis calls

Learning outcomes: 

For teams who deal with crisis calls, we focus on equipping staff with the psychological tools, communication techniques and knowledge to manage high-stakes, emotional or dangerous conversations safely and effectively. These trainings generally aim to build confidence in handling situations involving distress, mental health crises or those potential wanting to take their life. 

Who’s it for: Call handlers and people managers

Workshop size: Maximum group size of 12 learners

Workshop duration:  3-hour workshop or full day (7-hours)

Workshop topics:

  • Understanding why people might be in crisis
  • Mental health awareness
  • Understanding our communication skills / how to communicate in a crisis situation
  • Risk assessment and spotting signs
  • Myths and facts surrounding suicide
  • Safety planning
  • Self-care and emotional resilience 

Training investment: Includes course design and delivery. 

  • Per three-hour workshop: Virtual £600. In person £650.
  • Full day: Virtual £950. In person £990.  In-person delivery is highly recommended for this workshop

In-person delivery will have reasonable expenses added on. Please note, Garrett Learning is not currently registered for VAT.
